What's a swatch?

A swatch is a way for beauty bloggers, makeup artists, brands and makeup enthusiasts to show the true colour and formula of a makeup product against the skin (rather than in the packaging, which can be misleading). It's traditionally applied to the skin (usually the forearm or hand), and may be done with or without primer. Lip swatches are also used to show the true colour and finish of lip products, and brands have also started creating swatches across a variety of skin tones.

Why do I need a stencil?

Short answer - you don't! We love to see traditional 'messy' swatches - they show features of a product that wouldn't necessarily be obvious when using a stencil, including blendability, ease of application and quality of formula.

However - for the perfectionists among us, sometimes standard swatches don't cut it. Maybe you want to show off a product in an artsy way, create some neat swatches of a palette, or build up a shadow to show the full duochrome shift. Our stencils can help!

Can I re-use the stencils multiple times?

Due to the self-adhesive nature of the stencils (and the delicate designs) we find they work at their best on their first use. However, many of our customers tell us they are able to use them several times!

How long will it take my order to ship?

We work on an RTS (Ready to Ship) basis - everything in stock on our store is manufactured and ready to ship out to you.

We aim to ship out your order as soon as possible - but please note that all orders are subject to a processing period of up to 3 working days (although we often ship sooner). We also do not dispatch orders during weekends or national holidays.

How much is shipping?

We several different options for shipping your order - starting from just £1! Visit the Shipping page to find out more, or enter your country at checkout to see the options.

We know no-one really likes paying for shipping - so we also offer free shipping on UK orders over £30, and international orders (valid on orders over £50, £55 or £60 depending on your country of residence). There's no code required - just select the relevant option at checkout on applicable orders.

Do you accept returns?

Unfortunately due to hygiene reasons, we are unable to accept returns, so please ensure you are happy with your choice before purchasing. If there is a problem with your order, then please email us at contact@swatchperfect.co.uk and our customer service team will be happy to help.

What are the stencils made from?

We use low-tack, latex free sticky-back vinyl for our stencils. We strongly suggest that you patch test a small piece of the material on your skin, especially if you are sensitive.

Can I join your promo team?

We're not currently looking for bloggers to collaborate with - but we'll post on Instagram or Twitter when we are, so check there every so often.
